After the announcement that CollectBadges.com was shutting down, I set up this site for my fellow badge collectors.

I'm a police officer, so I work odd hours and will update the site & answer questions as I can.

The rules are simple:

1) Be nice
2) Nothing illegal - including NO CURRENT FEDERAL BADGES or misrepresenting non-issued badges as issued (this is fraud).
3) Some agencies have trademarked their badges, and they cannot be sold on this site. Please see the list of prohibited badges before listing a item.
4) All auctions must include at least one photo of the front of the badge / item.
5) Use the site message system, NOT email to communicate regarding the sale / purchase. This is for your own protection.
6) Do not post email addresses, URLs, or phone numbers in auctions or want ads. See rule #5.
7) All auctions must be for 1 item, unless all items pictured are being sold as a group lot.
8) Most importantly - HAVE FUN!!!

I've gotten several emails asking who I am - and I understand and respect the fear people have for doing business online. To ease your minds, I offer the following bio:

My name is Roger & I'm a Detective Sergeant at a municipal police department in North Carolina. I've been an officer since 2003, and you may have seen me on collectbadges or eBay with the username "hoseyr".

I really got into collecting badges after a bad on-duty wreck in 2009.
